The injury to Harvey during spring ball was a huge blow for the Knights, but a trio of backs will try to replace him. Sophomore Jonathan Davis rushed for 310 yards on 64 carries and scored four touchdowns last year behind Harvey. Sophomore Brendan Kelly, who is 6-3 and 231 pounds, will also be in the mix after playing fullback last year.
That is their 1k yard rusher from last season. Pretty interesting.
Thank God they don't have Kevin White anymore.
I still have nightmares about that 80 yard sweep for a TD.
^ I just got a cold shiver down my spine reading that.
If their line is still solid they will still have big run ability.
As goes the line, so goes the offense.

I starting laughing as soon as I realized he would score...
I remember my wife and I watching as he made his way down to our endzone, and I dont think there was a Pack defender within 10 yards of him. And I also remember looking @ my wife and saying maybe Amato wasnt all that bad....lol But, it definitely was a blow to the TOB era, and I remember all the excitment being drained right out of the stadium.....
Not even Gary and Johnny were immune to the epithets I hurled after listening to that play on the radio.
Looking back, I'd say they knew something I didn't about how that game and season were going to go.
Thank God they don't have Kevin White anymore.
Kevin Smith, I think. And as depressing as that first run was, the other 140 yards he ran for that day was the true shock. Add to that Toney Baker's injury and our year was shot in week one.
"The junior rushed for 219 yards and a touchdown against Memphis, and ended his season with over 129 yards in three out of the last four games, plus seven touchdowns during that stretch (three apiece vs. Houston and Tulane? The Knight's defense led Conference USA in total defense (350.54 yards per game), rushing defense (82.77 yards), sacks (2.92 per game) and tackles for loss (7.23). Central Florida also ranked fourth in the country in rushing defense? The Knights ranked fifth nationally in punt return yardage against and 10th in kickoff return yards against?"
^Why have all these statements in the article been turned into questions? Either they are factual, or they are not.
LOL!! You are right...Kevin Smith. It was so bad that I couldn't even remember it correctly!

It was one of the more universal experiences in Wolfpack history. Everybody alive worried about what the harbinger of the first play of the era meant.
