It's like he had a bad acid trip and it culminated in the end of that game. I definitely take games too seriously sometimes, like the car ride back to the apartment is quiet after a loss; but I've never had THIS much angst over a football game.

I was sick when they took the points off the board at Chapel Hill and then TA fumbled, but I don't even think anyone acted like this!

The last time I had that reaction to a game was in 1983 when the Dolphins choked away a fourth quarter lead against Seattle in the first round of the playoffs. I was 10.

I kinda felt like that after we lost to Tampa in 1987 and then Murray State in 1988. But I managed to keep the tears at bay.

YouTube and dignity don't have anything to do with one another, do they?

Noah, I believe you're right. Photos and video + sports gives like an 80% fail rate. If you go back and look at the "Spirited Fans" or what-have-you link, the pictures of the Cal fans (preceding our fans), there is a nice shot of a girl with her finger up her nose to the second knuckle. Oh, there's the Cavalier falling off his horse, Double J getting caught picking his nose on camera, Raiders fans showing their faces at games, etc. And that's all just this season!

GAWolf, it's a clip of some Clemson fans post-loss against GT. "Wolfhead Hat Guy" is Chris. I've spent a couple of games with him, including the bowl game. If there is a model for how a fan should act, it's him. He's courteous, passionate, and downright loyal.

    ""Wolfhead Hat Guy" is Chris."

The guy is practically a folk legend. Doesn't he still sit in the student section? He must be collecting PhDs, as he seems to have been around for an eternity.

non sequitur, he just graduated in May, and started graduate school this semester. However, he's been donning the getup since day one of his freshman year. Add the fact that he goes to pretty much every event (INCLUDING VOLLEYBALL), and you've got a few hundred appearances.

At least Bike Helmet Guy moved on. Ricky is from Ricky's Rant, a clip of an Alabama fan going berzerk in his house watching a game. It's worth googling. Try: "Ricky Alabama Rant". I saw this one of the Clemson fan. It's just silly. I hope the kid is drunk, just for face saving's sake. Ricky is clearly drunk and his rage makes Clemson boy look even more silly. Both are equally ridiculous, though.

Wait a minute. Volleyball is perhaps the easiest non-revenue sport to go to. Some years are better than others, but the Pac-10 games (matches?) on tv are always extremely entertaining.

I mean it's the easiest to get in...but I can't force myself to watch State play volleyball. I have a hard enough time with basketball as it is...

What do you think would happen if Wolfhead Hat Guy and Bike Helmet Guy physically and temporally encountered one another? Would it be as if one was viewing the other in the mirror, or would it be an all out physical battle?

I think we'd end up with a black hole, in which would be revealed the meaning of life, the universe and everything.

Perhaps Wolfpack wins would result as an unforeseen phenomenon.

The actual sport of volleyball is mostly irrelevant when it comes to the entertainment value of it all.

Clearly, you've never watched an SEC or Pac-10 girl's volleyball match. Long, athletic girls wearing extraordinarily small and tight uniforms diving around, spending much of their time bending over, and then huddling up and hugging.

There's never been a finer collection of legs and *sses as when UGa and Ole Miss fight it out.

10-4 on that, Noah. I've got this piece entitled " How I Met My California Beach Babe Blond Wife "

Subtitled " I Never Watch From The Side Of The Nets. "

Except at my daughter's high school games.

I never said I don't like volleyball...just not NC STATE volleyball. If we had a beach volleyball team that never won a game, I could make an exception to go to those games.

It doesn't have to be beach volleyball. Watch the games on HTS or one of the Fox equivalents. I'm telling you...unless you've got something against 5-10 girls with pony tails and an *** that looks like it was hand-carved by Jesus, you've got no reason NOT to watch.

Cheerleaders usually have these really thick thighs and butts. But volleyball players have ***es that belong in *** museums.

Noah, you have me there. I guess they can lose all they want if they keep up the good work, so to speak.
