I never could grasp how such miserable human beings were able to make it long and far enough in life to even get where Carruth got. This story always captivated me

Was on Outside the Lines today if you are interested.

The end of that video confused me. How could they even consider letting that unrepentant murderer near that kid. That's just awful. Carruth should be locked up for the rest of his life.

I definitely agree with you. But, everyone is built differently.

I watched those court precedings everyday, it was shown live on Court TV in the Charlotte area. Always wondered what happened to the baby. There was alot that came out in the trail that showed Carruth as evil. Carruth fled from Charlotte after the shooting, was found hiding in the trunk of a car at a hotel. Yea, he didn't do it, just like OJ didn't. Sad story.

Carruth was ahead of his time and all thugged out before it was mainstream in the nfl.

I have a friend who is a lawyer for Nike. She called me the day that Carruth was convicted and said, "I get to do something really fun! Listen..."

I hear some sort of machinery in the background.

She said, "That was Rae Carruth's endorsement contract." The minute the conviction came down, he was in default and she got to put it in the shredder. I'm assuming they kept backups with "NULL" stamped across it somewhere.

This was a very sad moment for Panther fans and all parents everywhere.

I'm still just as blown away about it today as I was then.

And then we had Fred Lane. And Kevin Greene attacking the LB coach on the sidelines. And William Floyd melting down. And Rashard Anderson.

It was a rough couple of years.

They've still never drafted a Wolfpack player. I could care less about the "Carolina" Panthers.

Mark Thomas? Shawn Price? Terrance Holt?

    All Panthers.

Not drafted, but Tank Tyler plays for them!
